Today’s spotlight: Michele N. Washington

Title: Associate, Snell & Wilmer

Washington is an intellectual property attorney at Snell & Wilmer LLP.  With a science background in molecular biology, Washington practices in the areas of patent prosecution and trademarks.

Source of pride:The first time I received an issued patent from the United States Patent and Trademark office was a very proud moment for me.  Blending my science background with my legal practice to participate in achieving success for my client was very rewarding.”

The personality trait that helped you succeed:I’m very diligent.  I put the necessary time, energy, and focus into overcoming obstacles for clients, and propelling them toward their goals.”

The personality trait that got you into trouble:I’m reserved, and a bit shy, by nature.  This can come across as being disinterested or distant. However, I’ve learned to push myself to share my enthusiasm and ideas.”

Best childhood memory:Going on road trips with my parents was so much fun.  As a child, riding in the back and not fully knowing the plan always felt like an adventure.”
