Today’s spotlight: Teri Jones
Title: President of the Building Group, Sundt Construction
Jones brings 40 years of experience in the construction industry to her role as president of the Building Group, which is responsible for more than $800 million worth of work this year across Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas.
Source of pride: “Helping Sundt’s Building Group grow to over$1 billion in revenue. Being entrusted to lead such a talented and amazing group of employee-owners gives me tremendous pride.”
The personality trait that helped you succeed: “Being a good listener and having a relentless/never give up attitude. Construction is about solving challenges. Listening to all aspects of a challenge and staying focused is key to getting to a viable solution.”
The personality trait that got you into trouble: “Inability to rely on others. Trying to do everything myself was growth limiting in my early years. I had to learn to trust others to do their part and not micromanage.”
Best childhood memory: “Traveling across the country with my grandparents in their 1967 Cadillac when I was 10 years old. Had the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon and so many other wonderful sites. Ignited my passion for traveling to places I’ve never been before.”
