Scottsdale-based Cadence Education, one of the largest providers of early childhood education in North America, announces today the completed acquisition of 15 of The Children’s Workshopschool locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The Children’s Workshop, a family-owned chain of early childhood schools and child care centers, that previously operated 21 locations, and was a leading provider throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, offering high-quality early childhood education to more than 2,000 students daily. The transaction closed Dec. 14, 2018 and financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed. Under the terms of the agreement, all acquired The Children’s Workshop schools will be rebranded in 2019 to Cadence Academy Preschool.
With the acquisition of The Children’s Workshop, Cadence now owns and operates more than 200 private preschools and elementary schools across the US. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz. The company is led by Dave Goldberg, Cadence Education’s President and CEO.

The Children’s Workshop locations included in this transaction include Massachusetts schools in Bourne, North Attleboro, Norwood, Waltham, West Bridgewater, Raynham, Hanover, Westborough and Seekonk; and Rhode Islandschools in Cranston, East Greenwich, Lincoln, North Kingstown, Smithfield and Westerly.
