The College of St. Scholastica added Christy Potter as its campus manager to oversee recruitment for its Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs.

The BSW program is in its second semester at Mesa Community College and the DNP program will launch this May.

Potter has an extensive background in marketing, community relations and student advisement, all at the university level. Previously she served as web designer and senior developer for the University of Arizona, College of Humanities; academic advisor and graphic designer at the University of Arizona, Colleges of Letters, Arts, and Science; as well as community director at Dartmouth College.

She holds a master’s degree in information resources and library science as well as a bachelor’s degree in retailing and consumer sciences from University of Arizona and a master’s degree in college student personnel from Western Illinois University.

“We are excited to have Christy join our team,” said Maria Laughner, Arizona regional director for St. Scholastica. “I am confident that her knowledge of university marketing and student relations will continue to help us grow our Arizona presence and foster a welcoming student environment.”

In addition to the BSW and DNP, St. Scholastica offers other degrees in Arizona, including the RN to BS in Nursing and the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Health Information Management.
