Cox announced the recipients of this year’s Cox Scholarships, each receiving $10,000 toward higher education.
“These Scholarships reflect Cox’s commitment to supporting individuals within the communities we serve. We are delighted to help this outstanding group of young adults from Arizona pursue their educational dreams,” said Susan Anable, Cox Phoenix market vice president.
This year’s Arizona Cox Scholars are:
- Caden Becker, a graduate of Paradise Valley High in Phoenix, will be attending the University of Texas and studying Biochemistry.
- Cailynn Borchers, a graduate of Cienega High School in Vail, will be attending Colorado Christian University and studying Nursing.
- Yaritza Breceda, a graduate of Alhambra High School in Phoenix, will be attending Arizona State University, studying Political Science.
- Nadia Harris, a graduate of Casteel High School in Queen Creek, will be attending Oral Roberts University, studying Political Science.
- Abraham Kim, of Phoenix, who was homeschooled and will be attending Vanderbilt University, Blair School of Music.
- Caley Suarez Ortega, a graduate of Metro Tech High School in Phoenix, and will be attending Arizona State University, studying Computer Science.
- Sophia Pina, a graduate of Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, will be attending Grinnell College, studying Psychology.
- Jacob Sajan, a graduate of Centennial High School in Peoria, will be attending Arizona State University, studying Computer Science.
- Nila Sathyan, a graduate of Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, will be attending Arizona State University, studying Biology.
- Johnny Yu, a graduate of BASIS Tucson North in Tucson, will be attending UC Berkeley, studying Finance and Engineering.Cox Scholarship
