Climate Control Discussion – With the world’s fast-growing population and climate changes, fresh water has significantly become scarcer. On August 25, Arizona State University with be hosting a climate control discussion where a group of panelists will discuss how we can create better water sustainability practices.
The Changing Planet: Adapting to Our Water Future event will also be hosted by National Science Foundation, DISCOVER Magazine and NBC Learn with Anne Thompson, NBC chief environmental affairs correspondent, moderating it.
With hopes of addressing the impact of climate change on water resources, challenges of achieving sustainability and how we must adapt to those changes, panelists that include scientists and policymakers will discuss how shifting climate patterns are stressing the world’s fresh-water resources.
This will be the last installment of a videotaped, three-series production from NBC that focuses on climate control and is expected to be aired in the fall on the Weather Channel.
Panelists for Adapting to Our Water Future will include Bill Richardson, former governor of New Mexico, Patricia Mulroy, general manager of Southern Nevada Water Authority, and Heidi M. Cullen, correspondent of Climate Control.

ASU’s Adapting to Our Water Future is free and open to the public, all with the hopes of educating the community about the problem of finding fresh-water resources with the ever changing climate.
