Abrazo Arrowhead Campus and Abrazo West Campus received “A” ratings in The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2019 Hospital Safety Score, demonstrating the hospitals’ commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

“The staff, physicians and volunteers in our hospital are proud to be recognized by The Leapfrog Group with its top grade for patient safety, which demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, high-quality care,” said Jeff Patterson, chief executive officer, Abrazo Arrowhead Campus.

The score uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year.

“This rating recognizes our continuous commitment to placing safety at the forefront of our patients’ care,” said Christina Oh, chief executive officer, Abrazo West Campus.

“Every day, we focus on driving improvements in care delivery and patient satisfaction. Our clinical leaders regularly review our hospital’s patient care processes and compares our data to nationally recognized benchmarks and best practices. Nothing is more important to us than offering our patients trusted care in a safe environment,” said Oh.

The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Score is a rating system designed to give consumers information they can use to make healthcare decisions for themselves or a loved one. The Leapfrog Group assigns A, B, C, D and F grades based on hospitals’ ability to prevent errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
