Southwest Kidney Institute, PLC (SKI) and DaVita Inc. announced the opening of a new kidney treatment facility in Goodyear. It is now open and located at 14620 W. Encanto Boulevard.

The primary function of the 16,200-square-foot medical facility will provide treatment for patients with chronic kidney issues. The 5-room, 25-chair dialysis facility will serve 50-75 patients per day and employ more than 15 highly skilled medical professionals including doctors, registered nurses, dialysis technicians and administrative positions.

SKI is a physician owned private practice that provides comprehensive care for kidney disease and hypertension along with dialysis and vascular access services. The group owns and operates 41 locations throughout Arizona with more than 60 board certified, fellowship-trained physicians.

This announcement expands Goodyear’s growing medical footprint. In addition to its new location, SKI supports the community 24/7 through online resources, including a Patient Education Center, blogs by SKI physicians, and a Patient Portal, which enables established patients to securely send messages to their SKI care team, review medical records, and more. SKI supports referring providers through online referral forms, medical records requests, and a clinical information center.
