Your child’s pediatrician will be your trusted partner as your child goes from being a toddler to a teenager – how can you choose the right match for you and your family?
A type of “speed dating’’ may be the answer!
Banner Health is providing parents and parents-to-be a chance to meet informally with six pediatric providers in a fun, speed-dating atmosphere so they can find a provider who is a good fit for their family.
At the meet-and-greet event, parents will be able to talk one-on-one with each provider for about five minutes. The event will be held at Banner Desert Medical Center, 1400 S. Dobson Road on Tuesday April 30 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Space is limited, and reservations are required. Light refreshments will be served. Children can accompany their parents.

“We really want to be an invaluable resource for parents and people who are about to be parents,’’ said Ruben Espinoza, MD, a Mesa-based pediatrician. “We know parents want what is best for their kids and it’s really important for us to communicate well with each other. “Meeting face to face in this type of setting instead of being in an office or exam room can really break the ice.’’
Prospective parents can ask pediatricians about their office hours and availability during non-office hours.
