Mesquite Fresh Street Mex and Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF)
This holiday season, Mesquite Fresh Street Mex is partnering with the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) for its annual Toys for Tacos toy drive. Through the campaign, guests can donate a new, unwrapped toy at any of Mesquite Fresh’s nine Valley locations and receive a free taco as a thank you for supporting Arizona children in foster care. Guests who would like to make an even greater impact can also donate directly to AFFCF, helping ensure foster youth and families receive support during the holiday season. Combining community giving with a fun incentive, Toys for Tacos offers an easy way for Valley residents to spread holiday cheer while enjoying their favorite street-style Mexican fare.

Angry Crab Shack is teaming up with Shriners Children’s this holiday season to collect toys for children and families in need. Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to participating locations throughout the toy drive, helping brighten the holidays for young patients and their families. Known for bringing people together over seafood boils and Cajun-inspired favorites, Angry Crab Shack is once again using its local presence to make a meaningful difference in the communities it serves. The partnership provides an easy opportunity for guests to give back while enjoying a meal with family and friends.
Phoenix Children’s Toyland Toy Drive

Help bring holiday joy to hospitalized children through Phoenix Children’s Toyland, sponsored by Amazon. From Dec. 10–20, the community is invited to donate new, unwrapped toys at Rosenberg Children’s Medical Plaza, 1920 E. Cambridge Ave., from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. Donations will stock Toyland at Phoenix Children’s Thomas and Arrowhead campuses, where parents of hospitalized patients can “shop” free of charge on Dec. 23 and 24 for gifts for their children and their siblings.
Whataburger
All locations in the Valley
Starting on November 1st, all Whataburger locations in the Valley will be participating in a toy drive to benefit the toy giveaway done at the Tamale Festival in Phoenix in December. If guests bring in a toy to the participating locations, they will receive a coupon for a FREE #1 Whataburger!

Alice Cooper’s 24th Annual Christmas Pudding Fundraising Concert

Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding returns Dec. 12 to the iconic Celebrity Theatre for its 24th year. The annual event is a spectacular blend of music, comedy, and youth talent, with all profits being donated to support the Solid Rock Teen Centers, which offer free music, dance, art, and vocational programs to local teens ages 12–20. The benefit will include a live auction and performances from Alice Cooper, Dee Snider, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm, John 5 and the Creatures, Kevin Cronin (ex-REO Speedwagon), and Sixwire. Two winning acts from Alice’s Proof is in the Pudding national youth talent competition will open the show and perform alongside Alice! Join Alice Cooper and other celebrity guests (TBA) for a day filled with excitement and purpose at Alice Cooper’s 5th Annual Christmas Putting Tournament. Held on December 13 at the Short Course of Mountain Shadows Resort in Phoenix, AZ, the tournament aims to raise funds for Solid Rock Teen Center’s free music, arts, dance, and vocational programs for teens ages 12-20 across the Valley. The tournament is a best-ball scramble with a shotgun start at 10:30 am. Players can arrive early to check out a curated silent auction and roll a few practice putts. Golfers will be in groups of four, with one celebrity joining each foursome (you can bid on your favorite). After golf, a light lunch will be served, and the bragging will begin as awards are handed out! Registration is open now.

Waste Not is partnering with local meal-prep service On The Road Meals and Aioli Burgers to help provide Thanksgiving meals to Arizona families facing food insecurity this holiday season. The organizations are calling on the community to help ensure as many families as possible can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. For every $3.50 donated, one meal will be prepared and delivered through Waste Not to someone in need. Together, the organizations hope to provide more than 1,500 meals, making a meaningful impact for families across Arizona during the holiday season.
