The Phoenix office of Hines announced that CBRE has been awarded the exclusive leasing assignment for Renaissance Square, a 2-building, 965,000 SF office complex in Downtown Phoenix.
Renaissance Square is owned by the Hines U.S. Core Office Fund, L.P. and the property is managed by Hines.
This assignment marks CBRE’s first opportunity to work for Hines in Metro Phoenix. The leasing team is Jerry Noble, Patrick Devine, Greg Mayer and Katie Kelley of CBRE’s Phoenix office.
“Renaissance Square’s architecture is timeless, its image is first-class and it is owned by one of the strongest international real estate firms — Hines,” Devine said. “This property has a lot to sell — image, location, stability, to name a few, and it can definitely compete with newer deliveries in the downtown market. Tenants are looking for stable, solid owners and operators, and that’s what they’ll find at Renaissance Square.”
“The Phoenix recovery is underway, and Renaissance Square is in a great position as a leading Downtown office property. Businesses will be well-served by the property and leasing teams we have in place,” said Blake Williams, managing director of the Hines U.S. Core Office Fund.
One and Two Renaissance Square were designed by the architecture firm Emery, Roth & Sons, Inc., and were completed in 1987 and 1989, respectively. One Renaissance Square is 25-stories tall, and Two Renaissance Square contains 27 stories. The buildings are clad in red granite, and are connected by a pedestrian sky bridge. The project provides parking for 1,690 cars in its two adjacent garages.
Renaissance Square is 70% leased to large corporate tenants, such as Ernst & Young, Quarles & Brady, and MidFirst Bank, as well as many prominent local businesses.
Renaissance Square has received the Energy Star label for energy efficiency each year from 2008 through present. In 2010, both buildings received Gold certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system for Existing Buildings (EB).
