Homeowners Financial Group (HFG), a Scottsdale-based mortgage company founded in 2004, was recognized as one of the top 10 medium-sized companies on Fortune magazine’s ‘100 Best Medium Workplaces’ in the country. HFG, ranked No. 9, is the only company in Arizona to make the medium-sized list this year.

In 2016, HFG assisted more than 60 charities through its 34 offices and won nine awards for office culture.

“As a 15-time recipient of similar state-level awards over the last few years, we are honored to be recognized on a national level for Fortune’s list of 100 Best Workplaces,” said Director of Corporate Culture, Caroline Conner, SPHR. “As we’ve grown into new markets across the U.S., we have always maintained a commitment to provide our employees with an unparalleled company culture. Making this list proves we are on the right track and staying true to our cultural values. I’d like to add a huge thank you and congratulations to our employees who go above and beyond for each other and their customers each day making our company a best workplace!”

Fortune determines best places to work recognitions based on employee survey responses; 98 percent of HFG’s employees think it is a great place to work. From an average of 27 days of paid time off every year to biannual charity challenges, employees, called “Homies,” are able to achieve work-life-community balances.

“It is so refreshing to work for a company that cares about its employees as people, lets the employees have fun at work, gives them work/life balance, loves giving back to the community, and lets employees feel like they make a difference,” wrote one of HFG’s employees in a nomination of the company.
