Industrious, the highest-rated flexible workplace company, today announced it has partnered with Plaza Companies and Holualoa Companies to open a new flexible workplace at Park Central in midtown Phoenix.

The upcoming space is the fifth location in Arizona and the second in Phoenix, highlighting the company’s commitment to increasing its presence in major markets across the U.S.

“We’re pleased to continue growing our regional network in Phoenix and to partner with Holualoa Companies in bringing another Industrious location to the Southwest market,” said Shane Jones, Real Estate Manager at Industrious. “Park Central is a true live, work, and play mixed-use destination with a rich history; we’re excited to be part of a growing and thriving community with our newest flexible workspace.”

Park Central — a joint venture between Plaza Companies and Holualoa Companies — is an innovative mid-century-modern mixed-use campus with mid-century-modern, Class A office buildings located at 3110 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. Park Central also features education, cybersecurity and healthcare uses as well as retail, multifamily residential, the Creighton University Health Sciences Campus and new hotels currently under construction.

Industrious’ Park Central location will focus on technology, innovation and design, including all the most sought-after features in today’s office and retail market. Park Central’s original use as an outdoor regional mall was revitalized over the past few years, utilizing features that are attractive to today’s “new economy” office users. Design elements including large floor plates, high ceilings with a variety of exposed roof structures, ground level indoor and outdoor work experiences, and a collaborative atmosphere.

Park Central provides visitors and employees with conveniences including easy access to major nearby freeways – and more importantly, two light rail stations – and is in close proximity to some of Phoenix’s hottest neighborhoods and housing.

“Park Central’s mix of technology and design businesses, retail, fitness and casual dining is a perfect fit for Industrious,” said Sharon Harper, Chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies. “Our combination of live-work-play tenants and amenities will provide an ideal environment for Industrious members to be inspired, creative, productive and delighted on every visit.”

Industrious Park Central will feature over 287 total seats spanning across 20,910 square feet. The space will offer a range of private offices, shared workspaces for individuals and teams, multiple conference rooms, lounge areas and more. The location is set to open in September 2023.

Industrious is committed to building a robust network of premium office locations across city and suburban markets to support modern workplace preferences. This model fosters the ability of choice, allowing employees the option to commute for the big meeting or work at a smaller satellite location closer to home or their children’s school.

Rather than signing traditional leases with landlords, Industrious utilizes partnership agreements — a unique business model in the commercial real estate industry. Under this model, landlords are better positioned to meet the demands of modern occupiers, while Industrious is rewarded for strong performance. Industrious’ national network includes flexible workspaces in more than 60 U.S. markets and provides members with productive and engaging workplaces for companies of all sizes and stages.

Ownership was represented by The Coppola Cheney Group of Lee & Associates, and Bill Cook/Margaret Lloyd of Plaza Companies. Industrious was represented by Matthew Mallers and Bryce Terveen of CBRE.
