Eileen J. Sahai has joined Jennings, Haug & Cunningham’s environmental and regulatory law group. Ms. Sahai joins the firm’s environmental attorneys Karen Gaylord and Ronnie Hawks, who represent clients throughout Arizona in environmental law matters ranging from permitting to highly-complex superfund matters.
Ms. Sahai is experienced in a wide range of federal environmental law matters. Her practice has also involved counseling clients on the risks associated with corporate transactions, environmental permitting and zoning and assisting clients with CERCLA cost recovery actions. Ms. Sahai will be supporting the environmental law group in advising clients on issues related to environmental permits, regulatory compliance, site cleanups and litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sahai practiced environmental law with a mid-size law firm in New York. Ms. Sahai also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael Miller, now a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals. Additionally, during law school Ms. Sahai served as a judicial intern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Feldman of the Western District of New York.
Ms. Sahai earned her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2008 and graduated from Johns Hopkins University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish in 2002. She is conversational in Gujrati, Hindi, and Spanish.
