Consumer Cellular, the no-contract wireless provider ranked “Highest in Customer Service among Non-Contract Wireless Providers, Four Times in a Row” by J.D. Power, has expanded its call center footprint in Phoenix, Ariz. as it plans for future growth in the market. The mobile service provider, which boasts nearly three million customers, currently employs 1,025 staff in two Phoenix-area locations. The new facility, a former Sam’s Club, will allow for the addition of 1,200 employees over the next three years. The company has immediate plans to hire 500 additional employees this year alone.

Consumer Cellular will be taking over a location previously occupied by Sam’s Club at (17500 N Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85053). The company has assumed the entire 164,000 square foot space, which has been completely renovated to include a “floating” second level. The floors are connected by a large staircase, serving as the focal point, with an additional side staircase featuring community seating for employees and visitors. The building contains 24 private offices, 8 conference rooms and 5 training rooms.
The company has maintained steady growth year-over-year by focusing on boomers and seniors. It plans to exceed one billion dollars in revenue by the end of the year. Despite dramatic growth, the company has kept its small-business culture and continues to invest in its communities.
