Most Admired Companies of 2022: Arizona Diamondbacks

After receiving a record number of nominations, 50 companies have risen from the adversity of the past couple years and earned the right to call themselves Arizona’s Most Admired Companies of 2022. The Most Admired Companies of 2022 includes the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Arizona’s Most Admired Companies of 2022 will be celebrated at an awards dinner and ceremony from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Chateau Luxe, at 1175 E. Lone Cactus Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85024.

What it does: Major League Baseball team.

DEI efforts: The Diamondbacks launched D-backs for Change, a business and community initiative that seeks to level the playing field for its team players and community members by making a commitment to improving organizational diversity, equity and inclusion and putting a robust plan in place and taking the necessary steps to do so. Part of this effort included developing Team Player Resource Groups (TPRGs is the team’s name for ERGs) to support its staff and the community in ways that are important to each and every one of them.

Admirable trait: The organization coined the phrase “D-backs Give Back” in 2012, a simple and concise phrase to explain the dedication and combined giving of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. To date, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation have made charitable contributions totaling more than $75 million to nonprofit organizations and charitable programs across Arizona.
