Doreen Cott, Town of Queen Creek
Background: Doreen Cott is the Economic Development Director for the Town of Queen Creek. She actively works to diversify and strengthen Queen Creek’s economic base through business attraction, a focus on small business development, support of entrepreneurs in the community and a robust tourism program. In addition to Economic Development, Doreen oversees Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre. Doreen has been with the Town nineteen years, and has been working in the economic development field for 27 years.
Source of pride: “I was given a unique opportunity as the Town of Queen Creek’s first Economic Development Director to develop and implement a program that has transitioned a small town into the thriving community it is today. I have had an integral role in bringing many “firsts” to the Town, and most recently have had the honor to work with LG Energy Solution on bringing the largest single investment for a stand-alone battery manufacturing facility in North America to Queen Creek.”

Surprising fact: “Many days my house sounds like a sports arena! As the mom of three sons, (and a husband), who all love sports (particularly the Buffalo Bills), there is rarely a moment when there is not some sporting event on the television or taking place out in the yard. It’s a good thing I love it as much as they do!”
