Lynne C. Adams, partner, Osborn Maledon

Background: Adams is a partner at Osborn Maledon,  where she leads the firm’s education law practice and advises Arizona schools on compliance, litigation, and governance. Recognized as one of Arizona’s Top 100 Lawyers, she has also served the community through board service, judicial selection work, and pro bono support for education and the arts.

Source of pride: “I feel very lucky to have been able to build a legal practice that focuses solely on schools.  I love being able to spend my time supporting schools, their leaders, and their employees in doing the very critical but difficult work of educating and nurturing students.”

Professional advice: “Be patient.  Building a strong practice takes time.  In the meantime, learn what you can about the schools you want to work with and get to know the people you would be working with, both potential clients and other lawyers. Education law is a ‘small world’ practice area—everyone knows each other!”

Surprising fact: “I won on ‘The Price is Right!’  I went to the show to celebrate a milestone birthday, and I was chosen as a contestant, no doubt because of the t-shirts my husband designed for me and my friend, which said ‘Women Lawyers for Drew’”’ on the front, and ‘Pick Us Or We’ll Sue’ on the back.  I won the showcase showdown, which included a two-week trip to Italy and Greece.  It was an amazing experience and an amazing trip!”
