Arizona Builders Alliance hires senior accountant

The Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) has announced Patricia Rush as the association’s senior accountant. In this role, Rush is responsible for all communication between the organization and its national affiliates regarding membership and dues. She will work with member companies and vendors on all accounts payable and receivable.

Rush has more than 35 years of detailed accounting experience working with nonprofit and ministry related organizations in Illinois.  “I am eager to learn about Phoenix’s commercial real estate industry and to be a helpful resource to an organization that is helping to shape Arizona.”

“This position was previously held for 30 years and is crucial to the ABA’s success and ability to provide accurate monthly financial reports and payroll,” said Erica Lange, the ABA’s vice president. “Patricia will help us live-out our recently revised mission and vision statements.”

Jennifer Glitsos joins Small Giants as project manager

Small Giants, LLC., a rapidly growing marketing and business development firm in Phoenix and Denver, has hired Jennifer Glitsos as project manager to serve architecture, engineering and commercial real estate clients.

In the role, she will focus on client process improvement, and will manage and communicate the details of all strategic marketing, graphic design, training, photo and recruiting projects to team members. Jennifer previously served as a digital marketing senior project manager at G/O Digital and as a web development project leader at GoDaddy.

Velocity Retail Group broadens investment division with industry expert

Phoenix-based Velocity Retail Group added Eli Castronova to the organization as a Senior Vice President for Investments & Capital Markets. His nearly two decades of extensive experience and accomplishments within the investment arena, successfully securing debt and equity financing for a variety of projects, and development services compliment the current offerings within Velocity Retail.  

Eli’s focus will be to consult with owners and investors to analyze investment properties for sale, as well as provide a capital markets solution for Velocity Retail’s clients. As a former EVP and Principal for a prominent development company, Eli secured over $500MM in debt and equity financing for retail, office, residential, multi-family, and master planned community land. Additionally he was responsible for acquiring, entitling, developing, leasing and selling over 30 projects in his career.  These projects ran the gamut from grocery anchored centers, shops, and free-standing retailers.   His experience spans several real estate cycles and provides insight and foresight to all levels of retail transactions.

Kelly Conner Rubin named interim notMYkid Board chairman

notMYkid, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring positive life choices for youth by providing prevention education and leadership workshops, is pleased to announce Kelly Conner Rubin has been named Interim Board Chairman.

Kelly Conner Rubin is Senior Vice President at Alliance Bank of Arizona. She resides in Scottsdale, but is originally from Calgary, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta, receiving both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Her Master of Business Administration was received from the University of Phoenix. Kelly’s work experience has exclusively been in the banking industry. She worked for Harris Trust Bank of Arizona from 1991 – 2003 and is currently employed with Alliance Bank of Arizona (since 2003), located at the Thomas & Central Branch, as a Senior Vice President. Her primary focus is law firms, medical practices and other professional firms, as well as heading up the non-real estate escrow division for Alliance Bank.
