Arizona nurses are the heart of healthcare — and with RN jobs projected to grow 39% by 2030, there’s never been a better time to celebrate their impact. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) has opened nominations for its annual “Nurses Who Inspire” contest, celebrating the compassion, resilience, and dedication of Arizona’s nursing professionals.

Now through August 25, Arizonans are invited to nominate a practicing nurse who goes above and beyond to inspire health in our state — whether through clinical excellence, mentorship, innovation, or community impact. Self-nominations are welcome.
“Nurses are the heart of healthcare, said Dr. Cara Christ, Chief Medical Officer at AZ Blue. “Their hard work, compassion, and love for what they do make a real difference – and it’s important to show appreciation.”
Three winners will each receive:
- A $3,000 cash prize
- Tickets to an Arizona Diamondbacks game and recognition on the field during the game
How to Nominate:
Nurses Who Inspire nominees must be actively working in a healthcare setting in Arizona and winners will be announced in September. To enter, complete a quick form answering:
- How does the nominee embody the spirit of nursing?
- What personal experience has reinforced their passion for the profession?
