Arizona Association for Economic Development announces new officers

The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) has announced its new officers for 2020-2021.

Mignonne Hollis, AZED Pro, executive director of the Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation in Sierra Vista, is AAED’s new president. Lori Collins, deputy economic development director for the city of Mesa is the organization’s president-elect.  Wendy Bridges, AZED Pro, business development manager for the city of Avondale, is now serving as vice president.  Skip Becker, AZED Pro, president and CEO for La Paz Economic Development Corporation, assumes the duties of secretary/treasurer, while Nicole Snyder, AZED Pro, healthcare business development and marketing lead for Orcutt Winslow, is immediate past-president.

The officers were approved at AAED’s general membership meeting, which was held virtually.

Hollis said the new slate of officers is an excellent reflection of the organization.

“Our diverse statewide membership is a strength of AAED,” Hollis said.  “Our members are economic development practitioners, service providers, elected officials, and tribal members from across Arizona.”

AAED, founded in 1974, has a mission to serve as Arizona’s unified voice advocating for responsible economic development through an effective program of professional education, public policy, and collaboration.
