Terracon promotes Senior Scientist Jennifer Thies

Engineering consulting firm Terracon has announced the promotion of Senior Scientist Jennifer Thies to Environmental Department Manager.

As Environmental Department Manager, Thies is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services Groups. This includes Site Assessments, Investigation (Phase I /Phase II ESAs) and Remediation; Asbestos and Lead; Telecom; Environmental Planning; Industrial Hygiene; Solid Waste and Brownfields; and Regulatory Compliance. 

Thies, who has been with Terracon for 3 years, will supervise the preparation of proposals and cost estimates to clients, implement staff training, development and performance. She will also lead business development activities to identify, develop, win and execute project opportunities and build and maintain client relationships. Thies is a Certified Environmental Manager and a registered Sanitarian.

Terracon promotes Bart Pierce to senior associate

Engineering consulting firm Terracon is pleased to announce the promotion of Materials Department Manager Bart Pierce to Senior Associate.

Terracon’s senior associate’s program recognizes and rewards employees who demonstrate consistently high performance and have strong potential for continued professional growth and career advancement.

Pierce manages Terracon’s Phoenix office Materials Department of roughly 25 employees consisting of project managers, field engineers and field/lab technicians. He supervises the preparation of proposals and cost estimates to clients, implements staff training, development and encourages high performance. Pierce, who has been with Terracon for 7 years, also leads business development activities to identify, develop, win and execute project opportunities and build and maintain client relationships.

Nathan Thinnes joins Kidder Mathews’ Phoenix office

Nathan Thinnes has joined Kidder Mathews’ Phoenix office as a senior vice president. He will work with investment team, Darren Tappen and Peter Beauchamp, focusing on investment sales throughout the Southwest region.

Thinnes has 20 years of commercial investment experience. During his career, he has been involved in over $1 billion in total transactions. Before moving to Kidder Mathews, he was director of acquisitions for Western Wealth Capital, and prior to that, he was an investment property broker with Cushman & Wakefield and Trammell Crow.

Tappen and Beauchamp have over 40 years of combined commercial real estate experience. They are recognized experts in commercial investment property assets with accumulated career transactions valued at more than $977 million.

Quarles & Brady continues momentum in diversity

His previous roles include serving as General Counsel at both Toys “R” Us and Dow Corning, Chief Responsibility and Ethics Officer for MillerCoors, as well as prominent leadership positions at other Fortune 500 companies.
