Self Wealth Management joins Wilde Wealth Management

Self Wealth Management, a family owned national financial services firm with more than 230 families under its management, has announced they will be joining Wilde Wealth Management Group, effective December 9, 2020. Both teams will retain their branding, and Self has moved from its current location at 7373 N. Scottsdale Road Ste. D120 in Scottsdale to Wilde Wealth’s headquarters located a block away at 7025 N. Scottsdale Road Ste. 115.  Through the move, Self will gain access to the depth of experience as well as the array of in-house service offerings in the fields of legal, taxes, risk management, family services, real estate and insurance, which Wilde Wealth offers.

“For the past decade-plus, I’ve noticed Trevor Wilde and Wilde Wealth has been listed by Barron’s in its annual list of top 1,200 advisors nationwide,” says Self Wealth Management founder Michael Self, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with more than 30 years of experience in the advisory business. “Their headquarters are just a few blocks away, so this past year, I researched them a little more and was pleasantly surprised to find they were a client-first, family owned business much like ours.”

According to Self, research eventually led to an email exchange with Wilde Wealth, and the wheels were set in motion for partnership before year’s end.

“Beyond access to their in-house services, what attracted me most to this opportunity was the chance to be a contributing member of a really great team,” says Self. “I also speak to my clients about succession planning daily, and though I have no plans to retire anytime soon, I want to practice what I preach and to set our firm up for decades to come.”

Self Wealth Management was first founded in 2005, and Self has been in the industry since 1992, specializing in the unique needs of retirees and their heirs.  He values his client relationships and is committed to providing each client with high-quality investment guidance and personalized service.  Self believes that placing the clients’ interest first is the foundation for a healthy and fulfilling relationship.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo and his master’s degree in Family Financial Planning from Kansas State University.  Joining Self as part of the affiliation is JoAnn A. Lickar, a Managing Partner for more than 14 years.
