SCHEELS, an employee-owned all sports retailer, is opening its flagship store in Chandler, Arizona and plans to hire more than 400 associates before its Grand Opening in September. “At SCHEELS, our customers, our community partners, and our team of empowered associates are what’s most important,” said Chandler Store Leader Louie Sikich. “While we have a small SCHEELS team here already making our new home in Chandler, the majority of our associates will be hired locally. We can’t wait to expand our team and we look forward to welcoming many community members to our SCHEELS family.”
With 250,000 square feet of retail adventure in more than 75 specialty shops, the retailer is looking to hire people who are passionate about the outdoors, sports, fashion, and customer service. A wide variety of full time positions have been posted, with part-time positions soon to follow in the coming months. Positions include everything from a Social Media Specialist and Human Resources Assistant to a Fishing Specialty Shop Manager and Freight Support. All SCHEELS associates are employee owners who enjoy sharing their product knowledge with others and embrace the company’s community minded approach.
SCHEELS opened a career center in Chandler at 1340 S. Spectrum Blvd, near the southeast corner of Loop 101 and Loop 202. They also plan to host a career expo at the career center at the end of the month. More information will follow on their Facebook page.
