Identity Sports, a premier organization dedicated to blending faith and sports, announced the launch of its new podcast. The Identity Sports Podcast features top athletes from around the country who share their journey of faith and aims to reach sports fans of all ages with uplifting content and personal stories of inspiration. Episodes cover a variety of themes such as sports, faith, mental health, and tips on becoming a better athlete while living out one’s faith in sport.

“Every kid has a sports hero they look up to. They idolize and model their game after them. We wanted to provide a positive outlet for kids to see their favorite athletes in a different light, talking about their true identity,” says Zach Vogel, Executive Director of Identity Sports. “We felt the call to do more, to become a global hub for faith-based inspiration in the sports community.”

  • Scottie Scheffler: #1 golfer in the world with 12 career wins on the PGA Tour. 
  • Geremy Davis: Played in the NFL for 6 years with the Chargers, Lions and Giants. He now runs Golf and Gospel which is a YouTube channel of athletes playing golf and sharing about Jesus.
  • Lorenzo Alexander: Pro Bowler who played 15 seasons in the NFL and was nominated for the Walter Payton Award several times.
  • Greg Ellis: 8th player drafted in the 1998 NFL draft, Pro Bowler, NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2007) and current Dallas Cowboys Assistant Defensive Line Coach.
  • Charlie Beljan: PGA Tour winner who overcame addiction and alcoholism.

The new Identity Sports podcast is a natural extension of Identity Sports’ mission to inspire millions around the world with the message of Jesus Christ. Each episode delves into the personal and spiritual journeys of athletes, highlighting how their faith shapes their lives both on and off the field.

“We wanted to reach the youth with uplifting content and stories in the mediums that they consume their media. It also provides a platform for athletes to share their faith,” says Vogel. “The podcast takes our live events and short-form digital content further. It allows us to dive deeper one-on-one to understand the athlete’s journey in faith and sport and share tips on how to apply these learnings to our lives.” 

Identity Sports has a rich history of impactful events and digital content. The organization has hosted numerous live events and amassed over 2.5 million views across six continents. The podcast launch marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Identity Sports.

Looking ahead to 2025, the organization has planned several major events, including Tales From The Tour during the WM Phoenix Open and Tales From The Dugout during Cactus League play for Spring Training. There are also plans to introduce new initiatives and events across the countries spanning even more sports.

“Our goal is to become a global hub for sports fans and athletes alike to find inspiration in their sport and their faith,” says Vogel. “We expect to build off our success and expand to more sports and cities with our events and content.”
