Sheraton Phoenix Downtown earns top ranking

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, the largest hotel in Arizona boasting 1,000 guestrooms and more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space, today announced that it was included on Cvent’s second annual list of the “Top 100 Meeting Hotels in the United States.” Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel was selected from a pool of several thousand hotel properties in the U.S. Cvent, a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, based the list on activity on the Cvent Supplier Network, an online marketplace connecting corporate meeting and event planners with venues around the world.

“We are honored to be ranked among the top 100 meetings and events hotels by Cvent,” Mike Ehmann, General Manager. “Earning a spot on this list validates the significant effort we put into making Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel an attractive choice for corporate meetings. As the meetings landscape continues to evolve we are working hard to make sure that we provide the most sought after service, capabilities and amenities for meetings and events and their attendees.”

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel stands adjacent the Phoenix Convention Center and offers a variety of meeting areas including a 29,000 square-foot ballroom and 17 meeting spaces. Each room includes the latest in meeting technology, including High Speed Internet Access, video conferencing capabilities, and audiovisual resources. The hotel also offers meeting planners a remote site inspection tool: Virtual Visit. This tool has proven effective and allows meeting planners a chance to tour the hotel without leaving their office.

The hotel is also a part of the Starwood Convention Collection, which is comprised of more than 30 Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ finest convention and large meeting properties. Each Starwood Convention Collection hotel is located in a top North American destination and provides an outstanding convention or meeting experience through a combination of unique incentives, unparalleled facilities and the unmistakable reliability of Starwood’s Meeting Service Standards.

Cvent evaluated thousands of hotel properties that received business through the Cvent Supplier Network from September 2012 through August 2013. The properties were ranked based on various data points, such as major metropolitan area (MMA) market share, conversion rate, and the hotel’s unique Cvent profile visits, designed to provide the most accurate reflection of the top meeting hotels in the U.S.
