The increasingly popular 3D printing has a variety of uses, and Mesa THINKspot is hosting a free 3D printing workshop to help small businesses utilize the tech.

On Tuesday, May 24 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Chris Dastan from Chandler-based STAX3D will show folks quick and innovative prototyping processes for entrepreneurs and inventors who are looking to use 3D printing more.

Mesa THINKspot is at the Mesa Library at 635 N. Power Rd., and the 3D printing workshop will explain materials, technologies, steps from design to product, resources folks can tap into. They’ll also hear about 3D printing prototyping successes.

So, if you’ve been looking into using 3D printing, then you’ll definitely want to look into this workshop. One Stratasys case study showed that one urban developer was able to save $12,000 when using 3D printing over stick models, and they were able to build the model in half the time.
