Thanks to a $100,000 grant by The Sunny Plumber, nearly 100 low-income elderly residents with emergency plumbing needs have had free plumbing repairs and replaced fixtures in 2017. The grant, given to the nonprofit FSL (Foundation for Senior Living), made the donated repairs possible.

From new water heaters to new toilets, fixtures and pipe repairs, seniors across Greater Phoenix have benefited from the grant, which was announced by The Sunny Plumber in January 2017. As of early December, 90 residents have received free plumbing services – with more scheduled throughout the rest of 2017.

“We are grateful that The Sunny Plumber has been able to help so many residents in our community,” said Gary Eisenhauer, manager at The Sunny Plumber. “FSL has done an excellent job allocating these funds to help those with the greatest need.”

The plumbing industry in Arizona has also taken notice. The Sunny Plumber was recognized as the “Contractor of the Year” by the Metro Phoenix Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association. The award was given at the association’s annual dinner in November.

“Together, FSL and The Sunny Plumber make a great team,” said Katie Martin, program director of FSL Home Improvements. “This year, we surpassed our goal of the number of clients served and we truly appreciate The Sunny Plumber’s generosity. It has been so rewarding to help so many seniors with these vitally needed repairs that would not have been possible without The Sunny Plumber.”
