Today, Cox Communications announced the introduction of three new product offerings that are now available to all customers in Arizona, in addition to automatic increased internet speeds. These products include:

• Panoramic WiFi app with device control capabilities

• Panoramic WiFi Pods to eliminate dead zones

• Contour Stream Player that compiles all streaming services

Cox’s Panoramic WiFi with Smart WiFi offers the most advanced WiFi experience with reliable speed, coverage and control. The new Panoramic WiFi app gives users greater control of their home WiFi network, including the ability to pause and restore internet for certain devices, schedule “bedtime modes” to pause internet access for the night, and set parental controls and protected browsing.

“Our goal was to bring families closer together,” said Susan Anable, vice president of public affairs for Cox. “With so many devices in the home, giving parents the ability to pause internet access during intimate moments like dinner and family time is really important to us.”

Panoramic WiFi Pods allow customers to create a mesh WiFi network that blankets the entire home. Simply plug the Panoramic WiFi Pods into an open power outlet, open the Panoramic WiFi app on your smart device, and eliminate any WiFi dead zones in a matter of minutes.

Cox’s newest and most innovative technological advancement is the Contour Stream Player, which gives customers the power to access their favorite streaming sources (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.), directly from their Contour Cable Box, or there is a wireless option as well. Using the Contour Stream Player’s remote, customers can simply speak into the remote to find programing from any of their streaming sources, without having to switch or toggle between other inputs and apps.

Lastly, Cox has increased internet speeds for Premier, Preferred, and this fall, will include the Ultimate package. The speed increases will go into effect without any action from customers. For 14 straight years, Cox has increased their internet speeds and this year, Cox has increased the internet speed of every package significantly:

The Premier Package has increased from 150 Mbps to 200 Mbps.

The Preferred Package has increased from 100 Mbps to 150 Mbps.

The Ultimate Package will increase from 300 Mbps to 400 Mbps by October.

To continue leading the broadband market and enable future growth, the company is investing $10 billion in the next five years, with a focus on enhancing the customers’ experience both inside and outside of the home.
