Imagine arriving at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and handing your car off to a valet. Imagine arriving back a few days later and your car is waiting for you curbside after a wash, oil change, or repair.
FreedomPark is giving Sky Harbor passengers just that beginning December 21st for just $25 dollars a day. The new service gives passengers a valet style option in which a FreedomPark valet meets a passenger at the airport and parks the car at a covered and secure site near the airport.
Through the FreedomPark reservation system, they can track a customer’s flight and arrange to have the client’s car waiting curbside, cutting down on travel time.
FreedomPark is a private sector company, bringing an added element of free enterprise and innovation to Phoenix’s landmark airport.
In the coming months, service will be expanded so that customers can arrange for car washes, auto detailing, routine maintenance, and even repairs all while the customer is traveling.
FreedomPark began in Dallas in 2001, introducing travelers to valet curbside parking. In December the service landed in Phoenix.
“With cell phone lots, garage parking, economy parking, and the Sky Train, Sky Harbor has proven to be an ideal location for innovative ways to get passengers as well as their vehicles moving through the airport. FreedomPark is pleased to be the latest addition to Sky Harbor’s proud legacy,” said FreedomPark President John Kundmueller.
With the parking crunch at Terminal Four, FreedomPark believes interest in the service for corporate and leisure travelers will be significant. Indeed, the company handles thousands of passengers each month in Dallas.
