The center is the first research program of its kind in Arizona to explore the cognitive, social, medical, physical and psychological contributors to healthy aging. Researchers are working to better understand optimal aging to enhance quality of life in older adults.

Founded in 2006, the study continues to enroll individuals 50 years of age and older. The “Longevity: Learning From our Elders study” incorporates over a decade of valuable information from optimally aging seniors throughout the state, complementing research on people affected by memory impairment and movement disorders.

Virtual interviews can be conducted by phone from one’s home. Volunteers commit to 4 to 6 hours per week and must live in Arizona year-round. Comprehensive training will be provided.
