WGM Associates, a Scottsdale-based information technology consulting and application development firm, has acquired Phoenix-based Nimbus Optimized Computing. Terms of the deal between the two privately-held firms were not disclosed.
Nimbus plans, designs and delivers cloud computing solutions to help small and medium-sized businesses consolidate and standardize their information technology systems while reducing costs and improving reliability and management functions.
With the acquisition, WGM has hired Nimbus founder Jeff Beall, who will now serve as WGM’s vice president of business development.

Matthews said the acquisition further cements WGM’s leading position to provide IT solutions that are reliable, secure and cost effective.
