Are you ready to revisit one of your beloved childhood memories? Or perhaps finally conquer your fear of clowns? Because ladies and gentlemen, the circus is coming to Scottsdale. Almost everyone has at least one cherished memory that took place under the big top with their family; but, recently, circuses have been viewed as a dying entertainment breed. Circus Vargas is striving to change that perspective. This family-owned company, run by couple Nelson and Katya Quiroga, is not only revamping and revitalizing the traveling circus, but also giving back to the community along the way.

This Quiroga family not only aspires to wow children with their dazzling, family-friendly fantasy, but also aims to play a philanthropic role with their productions. On Saturday, January 26, the Circus Vargas will be auctioning off a special package at Fiesta Mall in Mesa. All of the proceeds from the auction will go the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.

On Sunday, February 3, the finest aerialists, clowns and magicians in Arizona will perform at the Scottsdale Street Fair, located at the Pavilions at Talking Stick. The Circus Vargas cast will give the audience a sneak peek of its new show “Magikaria” at the event by showcasing their stunning acrobatics and extravagant magic tricks. Not only will the cast be performing at the street fair, they are also giving out tickets to upcoming shows.

The full production will take place in at the Pavilions at Talking Stick from Feb. 14-18. Be sure to arrive early because there will be an interactive show for children of any age to participate in 30 minutes prior to the actual performance. The children will have a chance to converge with cast and even create their own magic tricks.

Regardless if you are a circus veteran or if it’s your first time witnessing this sort of extravaganza, Circus Vargas’ “Magikaria” creates the ultimate entertainment experience for anyone looking to be whisked away to another world — even if only for a couple hours.

Tickets for Circus Vargas’ “Magikaria” are available at circusvargas.com, by phone at (877) 468-3861 or the circus box office, which will be open the day before the show.
