The Herberger Theater Center (HTC) announced today its board
of directors elected four new members: Alan R. Augenstein, Michael Mason J.D., SHRM-SCP, Devney Preuss and Jennifer L. Holsman Tetreault.
“Our newest board members bring additional expertise, insight, energy and community spirit to the Herberger Theater Center,” said Theresa Dwyer, HTC board chair. “This is an exciting time. We are fortunate to have them onboard as we expand the depth and breadth of offerings at the Herberger Theater for existing and new patrons of all ages, and continue to strengthen community partnerships and the Phoenix arts community.”
Alan R. Augenstein is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Arizona and Pennsylvania. He is the managing member of Alan R Augenstein CPA PLLC. Previously, Alan was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. During a 38-year career with the company, he specialized in the technology industry serving international public companies in the semi-conductor industry, as well as public and private companies of varied industries. Alan was appointed by Governor Brewer to serve a five-year term on the Arizona State Board of Accountancy, the state agency that oversees the CPA profession. He served as its board president and is currently a member of its Law Committee, which recommends changes to the Arizona statutes and rules. Alan is the board chair of Junior Achievement of Arizona and chair of its Audit Committee, and previously served on the board of Arizona Theatre Company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. Alan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael Mason, J.D., SHRM-SCP is an attorney, human resources executive and small business owner. He has worked for Pinnacle West and Arizona Public Service Company (APS) since 2012, first as senior legal counsel and currently as a director of Human Resources. Prior to joining APS, Michael was a partner with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. He earned a J.D., Philosophy from Arizona State University College of Law and Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Arizona State University. Michael is a Tempe native, and passionate about arts and culture, the environment, health, human rights, politics and science and technology.
