IASIS Healthcare appointed a new chief executive officer and chief financial officer to its leadership team at Mountain Vista Medical Center, a full-service hospital in east Mesa. Jake Golich has been appointed as chief executive officer, while Marty Bakos will take on the role of chief financial officer.

“The addition of these seasoned professionals to our leadership team reinforces Mountain Vista Medical Center’s commitment to delivering innovative services that meet the evolving health care needs of the community,” said Eric Paul, IASIS Healthcare’s Arizona Market President.

Golich had been serving as the interim CEO at Mountain Vista Medical Center since April, after more than three years as Administrator of Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, where he oversaw the strategic vision, day-to-day operations, and the financial sustainability of the 86-bed community hospital. He will lead Mountain Vista Medical Center’s 750-member hospital team, ensuring they deliver the highest possible quality of care, while creating a positive patient- and family-centered culture rooted in compassion and operational excellence.

With more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, Bakos brings a steadfast commitment to integrity in financial reporting and hospital accounting control systems. Keenly aware of the inner workings of health care facilities, she has served as a hospital CFO in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and most recently, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. As the new CFO at Mountain Vista Medical Center, she will oversee finance, information systems, case management, materials management, health information management and patient accounting.

“Jake and Marty have a proven track record in our industry, and bring an unwavering commitment to Mountain Vista Medical Center’s mission of continually improving the quality of life of the people we serve,” said Paul. “Their combined skills and strengths will propel Mountain Vista Medical Center into the future, further cementing the hospital as a healthcare provider of choice in the East Valley.”

Mountain Vista Medical Center celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.
