Landsea Homes today announced a strategic expansion with the opening of an Arizona division.

“Arizona is a very important part of our future community building plans,” said John Ho, chief executive officer of Landsea Homes.  “Our strategic focus continues to be creating communities in highly-desirable markets across the United States that appreciate exceptional planning, an unmatched attention to detail and best-of-class, high-performance homes.”

Landsea Homes also announced that veteran real estate and current Landsea executive Peter Beucke has been named president of the Arizona division.  Beucke has years of homebuilding experience serving various roles with Kaufman and Broad (KB Home) and Lennar Homes.  Beucke has been managing Landsea Homes Northern California Division, and will expand his role with the company to also oversee the new Arizona Division.

Beucke, a Phoenix resident and licensed architect, is well versed in high-performance renewable energy, spending the last decade with SunPower Corporation and as Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Solar Inc., USA.

“In just five years, Landsea Homes has become one of the most highly regarded new home builders in the country,” said Beucke.  “I’m honored to lead the team as we expand and introduce Landsea Homes to Arizona and the Pacific Southwest.”

Arizona tied as the fifth-fastest growing state by percentage in the United States in 2017 according to the U.S. Census Bureau, growth that is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

“An ever-expanding economy with a strong commercial real estate market benefiting from job gains is forecast to continue population growth in the state,” explained Beucke.  “Additionally, improved consumer and business confidence, increased and continued hiring and moderate inflation create the need for new, best-in-class, housing.”

The Arizona division’s first new community will be built in Chandler, and includes 78 single-family homesites with resort-style amenities including a community pool and expansive open space for gatherings.  Land development is expected to begin in Fall 2018, and the first closings are expected in late 2019.
