Pretty Decent Concepts, led by visionary founder Teddy Myers, the force behind some of Arizona’s most renowned dining and drinking destinations Trophy Room, Wren & Wolf, Chico Malo, and soon-to-open Carry On, will introduce four new awe-inspiring hospitality concepts set to open in 2025. With two concepts slated to open on Mill Avenue in Tempe and two more planned for Downtown Phoenix, the group is poised to make a major impact on the dining and nightlife scene. Filthy Animal – Set to lead the revitalization of the Mill Avenue entertainment district, Filthy Animal will make its debut in early 2025 as an avant-garde homage to the beauty and brutality of the jungle. This wild-yet-elegant concept is centered around a wood-fire cooking pit, offering a culinary experience that promises to push boundaries valley-wide. From vibrant flavors to striking interiors, Filthy Animal will deliver a dining adventure like no other in Arizona, merging fire-kissed dishes with the primal allure of the jungle.
Drop Dead Gorgeous – Bringing a distinctive and sultry ambiance to Mill Avenue, Drop Dead Gorgeous will capture the raw energy of the 1970s while infusing the glamor of vintage cocktails and the allure of golden hour. The concept offers Tempe a seductive escape where guests can unwind, relax, and experience a level of luxury yet unseen in the area. Drop Dead Gorgeous is a lounge meant for those who appreciate the artistry of an atmosphere as much as they do a perfect cocktail.
Cleaverman – Cleaverman pays homage to the classic steakhouse with a modern sensibility. The restaurant channels the timeless appeal of beef institutions that have endured through generations, offering guests a destination where elegance meets substance. With perfectly cooked steaks, stiff drinks, and a refined dining room ambiance, Cleaverman aims to establish itself as a staple for Phoenix locals and visitors alike. This sophisticated steakhouse brings tradition with a contemporary twist, redefining what it means to dine in style in Downtown Phoenix.
Filthy – Filthy promises an intimate and elevated cocktail experience in Downtown Phoenix. Hidden behind a discreet, private entrance just off the valet, this swanky martini bar will treat guests to a secretive allure and high-end charm. After passing through the steakhouse’s walk-in cooler, where steaks are aged and hung in view, patrons will enter a cozy, dimly lit space that evokes the golden age of cocktails, complete with a live piano player. Known for their classic, unapologetically strong martinis, Filthy offers a retreat into timeless elegance, ideal for cocktail aficionados seeking a unique escape.
Leading the beverage and culinary programs for these new concepts are two industry powerhouses: Jaxon Donahue, award-winning mixologist and newly appointed Beverage Director of Pretty Decent Concepts, and Chef Ivan Gonzalez, Executive Chef of Wren & Wolf and Chico Malo.

The design for each of these new spaces comes from acclaimed interior designer Peter Bowden, the creative force behind all Pretty Decent Concepts locations. Known for his masterful ability to craft immersive, visually captivating environments, Bowden’s touch will once again set the stage for unforgettable experiences. His designs—recognized for their intricate detail and distinct character—will transform each space into a captivating destination, making the spaces as breathtaking as the food and drinks they showcase.
