Who says that slot machines and table games are the only things to do in Las Vegas? Well, it isn’t us, we assure you.
The truth is, there are tons of attractions in Las Vegas besides gambling. First of all, there’s all the sightseeing up and down the strip. And there are explosively spectacular shows—free shows, even!
Plus, have you heard about that pub made completely out of ice? And, yes, there are plenty of things for the kids to do, too. Most importantly, don’t forget to take selfies.
Want to learn more about the not-so-well-known side of the Entertainment Capital of the World? Then read on.
1. Grab a Selfie By the Las Vegas Sign
You’ll kick yourself later if you don’t take a selfie in front of the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. It’s located at the south end of the strip and you’ll need to walk there as there are no convenient parking spots.
2. See the Sights
Now, walking might not sound very exciting. But it is when you’re walking up and down the Las Vegas strip.
You get to see in-person all the glitzy, glamorous sights you’ve seen in hundreds of movies. Take lots and lots of selfies.
3. Check Out the Shows
Since Vegas makes most of its money from gambling, most of the shows and other entertainment are very cheap. Some, like the Bellagio water show, are free. Get a show schedule and check them out!
4. Visit an Art Gallery
There are tons of museums and art galleries to see, too. Check out retired Vegas signs at the Neon Boneyard, for example.
As for which is the best art gallery/museum in Vegas, that’s a matter of opinion. Do your research and visit the galleries that interest you the most.
5. Visit minus5 ICEBAR
The minus5 ICEBAR is a drink bar where everything from the stools to the bar itself is made out of actual ice. Kids are allowed if accompanied by an adult. But it’s mostly a grown-up experience.
6. The Stratusphere Tower
Where can you get the best possible view of the strip? From atop the 1,149-foot Stratusphere Tower, that’s where.
7. Fremont Street
If you want to get your fill of the bright lights of Las Vegas, there’s no better place to do that than Fremont Street. It’s basically an outdoor mall of casinos with a light-show ceiling.
8. Adventuredome Theme Park
Ever ridden an indoor rollercoaster? This is just one of the many family-friendly attractions at the fully-indoor Adventuredome Theme Park inside Circus Circus Las Vegas.
