Construction on the property began in April 2024, signaling the start of a sophisticated new addition to Old Town Scottsdale’s growing hospitality scene. Designed for modern travelers who value intentional design and elevated simplicity, the hotel will offer thoughtfully curated spaces, premium amenities, and seamless access to the area’s top dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions.

“AC Hotels by Marriott are built for guests who appreciate the art of detail, where every element serves a purpose,” said Heather Mulhearn, Dual Director of Sales for AC Hotel Old Town Scottsdale. “This property embodies that philosophy, bringing a sophisticated yet approachable experience that reflects the energy and creativity of Old Town Scottsdale.”

Guests will enjoy:

  • 168 rooms, including 74 double queens, 71 kings, and 18 two-bedroom suites
  • A rooftop pool with a sweeping view of Old Town Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain
  • Cieleto, a rooftop bar and restaurant in collaboration with Wayfaring Group, will bring flavors of Northwest Mexico to Scottsdale
  • AC Lounge, featuring small shareable plates and handcrafted cocktails
  • A 950-square-foot, 24/7 fitness center featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and modern equipment
  • Flexible meeting and event spaces to accommodate various groups
  • Valet-only parking and a 3-story, underground parking garage
  • Pet-friendly rooms (up to 50 lbs.)

In addition to managing the property, PEG Companies is a co-owner and developer. The property’s architecture and interiors were designed by Gensler and Edge ID, with Okland Construction serving as the general contractor and Doug Sydnor as consulting architect. The development also features a public art installation created in partnership with the City of Scottsdale to enhance the surrounding streetscape.

“Old Town is known for its balance of history and innovation,” said Joe Madera, Vice President of Hospitality at PEG Companies. “Our goal was to create a hotel that honors that duality: European precision infused with Scottsdale’s vibrant local spirit.”

AC Hotel Scottsdale Old Town will join Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of distinctive lifestyle brands, catering to “Essentialists” who live by design, not default. The opening will generate approximately 50 new hospitality jobs, contributing to continued growth and investment in downtown Scottsdale’s tourism economy.
