Thousands of people will attend the Asian Festival on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2026 at Mesa Community College. Asian Festival started 5 years ago as a grassroots event organized by the Asian Festival non-profit organization and partnered with the City of Mesa to unveil the Asian District signage.

Asian Festival Founder/President Dr. Steve Kaplan is proud to announce China Airlines is sponsoring round trip air tickets to Asia. Come visit the China Airlines booth at the festival. China Airlines will be flying non-stop services from Phoenix to Taipei, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said at the China Airlines Inauguration Ceremony, “This is a vital link, especially with the economic ties that are building between Phoenix and Taipei. It will strengthen international relationships, boost the economy, and provide Phoenicians with a critical gateway into Asia.”

Many dignitaries and business and community leaders will be at the Asian Festival Opening Ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. to celebrate Lunar New Year with Lions Dance, Cultural Dances and Flag Ceremony. Cultural celebrations with food, music, dance, crafts and community engagement.
