Salvatore and Dina Zappone, owners and operators of Zappone’s Italian Bistro in the East Valley, are now taking their business to the next level — with a full-scale event venue. The Cottage Wedding Venue, located at 535 South Gilbert Road, in Gilbert will begin tours in February 2018, with their first event capabilities following in March.
“We’re so excited to see this next chapter of our dream come to life,” says Dina of The Cottage Wedding Venue. “We’ve taken a bare shell and incorporated all the best parts of what we’ve learned in our restaurant and catering businesses over the years. We hope to make our clients’ special day magical at The Cottage.”
The Zappones’ dream for The Cottage began to take form as their catering business took off and they began participating in the local bridal expo and working with many bridal vendors. They had worked with the former Cozy Weddings of Gilbert location, so when the property went on the market, the Zappones knew they wanted to make it their own.
Now The Cottage is set to become a full-scale event venue with a fully equipped commercial kitchen — not only for weddings, but also for social and corporate events, of any size or capacity. The Cottage can host intimate baby showers to lavish weddings under the stars and it also has a fully equipped auto/visual meeting room for corporate gatherings. With expert planning coordinators and a bevy of local vendor partnerships — from hair and make-up to photography and flowers — The Cottage offers complete packages and á la carte services.
