Scottsdale is getting another dine-in movie theater. Arizona-based RoadHouse Cinema is opening its second location in Scottsdale on May 13.

The new location is taking over the former Ultra Star first run theater at the Pavilions Shopping Center at Indian Bend and the Loop 101 after a $3 million renovation. RoadHouse’s second location is in Tucson.

Parents will have to get a baby sitter when they go to the RoadHouse, as the cinema will cater primarily to adults. Children under 6 will not typically be admitted to the movies, and kids under 13 will not be permitted to see R rated flicks. Children who are there must always be accompanied with an adult.

The RoadHouse Cinema will offer flatbread pizzas, burgers, gelato, root beer floats, gourmet candies and cheesecake.

You don’t have to go to the RoadHouse Cinema to see a movie, as there is a bar and lobby restaurant for people who just want food.

The new cinema will also include:

  • Live music on its outdoor patio
  • Digital projection and Dolby 7.1 Digital Surround Sound
  • Electric reclining seats
  • Local Craft beer and  wines
  • Happy Hour
  • Tuesday ticket specials where admission is $6
  • Senior special: 55 years and older can get $4 admission before 4 p.m.
