9/16: One Direction
The British boy-band One Direction is taking over Glendale and a swarm of screaming teenage girls is sure to follow. With three albums that have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, the concert is sure to draw a large crowd ready for sing-a-longs and selfies.

9/17: Last Comic Standing
Want a nice twist on dinner and a show? NBC’s Emmy-nominated series “Last Comic Standing” is hosting a show in Mesa with an optional pre-dinner show available. The show will feature sketch comedy, improv and stand-up with up-and-coming comedians.

9/18: Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival
It may not be so “metal” to have a festival indoors in Phoenix, but with all the head banging and mosh pits fans may be grateful for a little A/C between sets. The Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival features big names in the hard rock and heavy metal music industry. This year’s lineup includes Godsmack, Seether and Buckcherry and more.

9/18-9/27: Ballet Arizona Presents Ballet Under the Stars
With a series of six free concerts, Ballet Arizona takes its company around the Valley to give residents the opportunity to experience a free ballet performance. Performances are held at local parks and outdoor event spaces locations in Phoenix, Sun City, Goodyear, Fountain Hills and more.

9/20: Downtown Phoenix Urban Ale Trail
This self-guided tour through downtown Phoenix was made for beer lovers, taking them through downtown restaurants and other locales known for craft beers. The first 300 people to begin the tour will receive a commemorative, free growler. The tour offers beer samples for $2 to $3 along with a selection of snacks from the restaurants that are all accessible by foot or light rail.
