Foch Café & Bistro recently open its doors on Mill Ave. as a new hot-spot for Tempe residents and visitors to enjoy. Located in downtown Tempe, (21 E 6th St.), this hip bistro offers American-European inspired dishes and small plates as well as craft cocktails. 

Business partners Fares Tarabichi (founder of The Crêpe Club, co-founder of The Bodhi and founder of AZ Liquids) and Chef Timothy Richardson used their passion for French cuisine as a catalyst to start Foch Café & Bistro. Tarabichi spent many of his summers growing up in Paris visiting his grandparents. As a tribute to his grandparents that passed away in 2021, they chose “Foch” named after the street that his grandparents lived on in Paris.

“I am so proud of my French education and visiting my grandparents in Paris every summer made me truly appreciate the beautiful French culture.” Said Tarabichi, co-founder of Foch Café & Bistro. “Foch honors both the memory of my amazing grandparents, as well as French culture.” 

The craft cocktail menu features a unique selection of beverages created with house made fresh juices and a selection of local craft beers. Foch offers a full menu to dine-in guest and a grab & go section (Foch Market) with hot and cold items, freshly baked pastries and coffee bar. It will also feature unique gelato flavors that can be paired with crêpes. 

Chef Timothy Richardson, born and raised in Arizona, started culinary school right after high school at Le Cordon Bleu. There, he trained with French technique. For 16 years, Richardson has worked a wide range of concepts from cantinas to fine dining—including his last role as senior sous chef at the Biltmore in Phoenix. 

“As a chef, it has always been a dream of mine to open a restaurant and I am excited to share delectable French inspired cuisine with the wonderful residents and visitors of Tempe.” said Richardson, co-founder of Foch Café & Bistro. “Foch is an open, bright and happy space for people to gather and celebrate community once again.”
