A new brewery and craft kitchen is set to open in the popular Roosevelt Row neighborhood later this fall. Formation Brewing is the newest concept from the team behind Denver Beer Co., one of Colorado’s most prominent award-winning breweries. The new concept will be located at 925 N 5th St. between Taco Chelo and Le Du Thai.

“We’ve been inspired by nature and our surroundings,” shared Robert MacEachern, CEO of Formation Brewing. “Just like stones that shape grand arches or birds soaring in unison, Formation can create something greater than the sum of its parts. Together, we brew not only fantastic beer, but create a shared experience that unites us all.”

Formation Brewing’s taproom will serve as a community gathering space where their beer creates a fun, welcoming experience in a comfortable and unifying environment for all to enjoy.  The space is designed to encourage conversations, build relationships, and encourage connection with each other over a cold pint.

The over 10,000 square foot space will be fully reconstructed. The first floor will feature a central sunken seating area, 33-foot ceilings, a 19-tank brewing system that will give guests an up-close look at the brewing process, a full kitchen and a 110-seat dining area. A second-story is also planned, featuring an additional bar and space for up to 100 guests, allowing for private parties. There will also be a 1,185-square-foot patio equipped with fire pits and misters.

Renovations are currently underway. Once opened, Formation Brewing will offer 24 total taps; 18 on the main floor and 6 on the mezzanine. This includes four signature beers inspired by the desert: Cloud Drifter Hazy IPA, Desert Racer Pilsner, Sun Crest Tart Peach Ale and Western Winds West Coast IPA. These will also be available in prepackaged 12oz cans. The brewery will also serve a full food menu featuring native Arizona ingredients and products from local farmers and vendors.

“Formation Brewing is the culmination of 13 years of passion for and experience in brewing, events and hospitality,” shared MacEachern. “When it comes down to it, we want to be known as a go-to place that serves great beer, great food and where people are happy to be, where people feel that strong sense of community and inclusivity.”
