StretchLab, the premier assisted stretching franchise, is opening its first Arizona location in North Scottsdale. Located at 20511 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale, the studio will introduce people of all ages, fitness levels, genders and sizes to the various health and wellness benefits of working with highly trained Flexologists™ in an open, modern, fun and approachable environment.
The North Scottsdale studio will open on February 28, giving the North Scottsdale community an opportunity to become familiar with the StretchLab experience and various services, including one-on-one assisted stretching and group stretches. Deep stretching is not only scientifically proven to effectively decrease pain, lower risk of injury and reduce stress, but it also provides the ability to perform better at work, in the gym and in everyday life. StretchLab of North Scottsdale will have its grand opening on April 7.
StretchLab North Scottsdale is owned and operated by business partners and Scottsdale locals, Jennifer Gage and Danica O’Leary. Jennifer has a daughter with Down syndrome, and in 2013 she and Danica partnered together to bring GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center, to the Phoenix area. After successfully bringing this important center to the Phoenix community, Jennifer and Danica set out on their next business venture together. Jennifer was first introduced to StretchLab after suffering a shoulder injury sustained last year in California. She sought out a Pilates studio for some quick relief and when she arrived to the studio, she noticed a unique stretching studio next door. Intrigued, she gave it a try and felt so much better. Jennifer fell in love with the concept and knew this is something that she and Danica had to bring to the Scottsdale community.
“Jennifer found StretchLab organically and instantly fell in love with the concept” said Danica. “Danica and I had been looking for something to do together because of our successful partnership on GiGi’s Playhouse. StretchLab had just begun selling franchises so we looked into it and four weeks later we owned the Phoenix market” Jennifer shares.
The North Scottsdale StretchLab will be the first of ten locations that Jennifer and Danica plan to open around Phoenix over the next few years. Neighborhoods they are targeting include Arcadia, Tempe, East Chandler and Downtown Phoenix, among others, but final locations are yet to be determined.
StretchLab offers a variety of one-on-one personalized stretching services including a 25-minute stretch that concentrates on the client’s current stretching needs, as well as a 50-minute head-to-toe deep stretch that addresses all major muscle groups. In addition to one-on-one stretching services, two small-format group stretches are available in which a trained Flexologist™ leads clients through a warm-up and sequence of stretches to address major muscle groups. Monthly memberships are available for four or eight visits per month, as well as drop-in stretches.
StretchLab North Scottsdale is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The studio can be reached online at www.StretchLab.com, by email at northscottsdale@stretchlab.com or by phone at 480-474-4117.
