New research has discovered the most popular home aesthetics trends in Arizona, with Boho taking the top spot.

Real estate experts at palmparadiserealestate.com analyzed the average number of monthly Google searches made for different home aesthetics – paired with terms like ‘decor’ and ‘style’ – to name the most popular décor styles nationwide and in each state.

#1 – Boho

Boho received 1,709 monthly searches; a free-spirited and eclectic style that embraces a variety of patterns, textures, and brilliant colors characterizes the Boho or Bohemian approach to the home. Tapestries, woven wall hangings, and diverse collections are common in boho rooms, giving a sense of individualism and personal expression. 

#2 – Steampunk

Steampunk, which has 913 average monthly searches, is defined by a combination of Victorian-era design, industrial components, and future fantasies. This distinct style is inspired by steam-powered machinery from the nineteenth century as well as speculative science fiction. The color scheme is rich and dark, with deep browns, burgundy, and metallic tones.

#3 – Farmhouse

The Farmhouse aesthetic, which has 801 total monthly searches, is pleasant and rustic, evoking a sense of warmth and simplicity. It has exposed wooden beams, reclaimed wood accents, and vintage-inspired design. It helps to create a warm and inviting ambiance with its neutral color palettes, particularly whites and muted tones. 

#4 – Grunge

Grunge, which gained 784 average monthly Google searches, is a raw, edgy, and effortlessly stylish style that draws inspiration from the alternative music and fashion subculture of the 1990s. The atmosphere is purposely relaxed and slightly unkempt, with a focus on comfort and authenticity. Grunge home decor components include plaid patterns, dark hues, and DIY touches, reflecting a rebellious and nonconformist mentality.

#5 – Y2K

The Y2K aesthetic reflects the futuristic, tech-inspired design trends of the late 90’s and early 2000’s and has a monthly search volume of 585. Y2K is distinguished by a blend of sleek, modern features and fun, nostalgic touches, as well as frequently incorporating brilliant colors, metallic finishes, and unique shapes. Plastic and glass are common high-tech materials, and furniture designs may include curves and asymmetry.
