What once was a simple love for the game of golf is now a globally recognized company celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Bob Parsons, the billionaire philanthropist who created GoDaddy, founded Arizona-based Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG) in 2013 with the goal to “develop and deliver the world’s finest golf equipment.”

To achieve this goal, Bob Parsons knew that he had to do things differently than other equipment manufacturing companies.
“We have a no cost constraints, no time constraints approach to product engineering, and maintain a laser-like focus on performance,” he says. “It is because of these fundamental differences that we saw early adoption and rapid growth.”
The company has grown to be one of the top companies in the golf industry, Bob Parsons explains.
Currently, the company sells in over 50 countries and has 22 stores in the U.S. alone. PXG was also listed on the 2023 National Golf Foundation’s Top 100 Businesses in Golf.
As part of the company’s natural growth in the golf industry, it launched a golf apparel line in 2018 with Renee Parsons spearheading the charge.
“PXG had already garnered global attention and accolades for disrupting the golf industry with our innovative, breakthrough golf equipment,” she says. “As a lover of golf and fashion, I saw that there was a void within the golf market for clothing that was not only performance based, but had style and a fashion-forward design approach.”
Renee Parsons says the company has been impressed with what the apparel line has been able to bring to the table.
“We are thrilled that since inception, PXG apparel has experienced rapid growth in line with the brand’s performance overall,” she says. “Both our men’s and women’s categories have been incredibly well received by our current customers and have attracted new customers to the brand, which is a huge win.”
Not only has PXG seen business success, but it has also allowed Bob and Renee Parsons to give back to the community through the PXG for Heros program.
Bob Parsons is a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War Veteran and credits his accomplishments to his time in the military.
“The Marine Corps taught me many things,” he says. “Among them: discipline; responsibility; that not all tasks are fun, but you have to do them anyway; and that there’s a right and wrong way to do things. In many respects, this is similar to entrepreneurship.”
As a thank you to all military, first-responders and veterans, PXG offers special rates to anyone confirmed to be in one of these groups.
Bob Parsons is very proud of the successes PXG has seen over its 10 years.
“Golf is not an easy industry to enter,” he says, “and the success we have had is a direct result of our commitment to research, development and delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.”
With the first decade done, Bob Parsons looks to the future with a singular goal.
“I’m interested in one thing,” he says, “and that’s making the finest golf equipment and apparel. If we continue to do that, and never lose sight of that, I believe we will be one of the most sought-after golf companies in the world.”
