One of Texas’ most coveted reservations is crossing state lines when il Bracco — consistently the No. 1 most-booked restaurant in Dallas on OpenTable month after month — brings its buzzy atmosphere, house-made Italian-inspired cuisine and unmistakably polished design to Scottsdale, opening March 30 at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Rose Lane near McDonald Drive.

Equal parts neighborhood go-to and see-and-be-seen destination, il Bracco is an original concept from Texas-based Western Addition Restaurant Group, a multi-concept hospitality company led by Hillstone alumni Robert Quick and Matt Gottlieb. Known for creating beautifully designed restaurants paired with meticulously crafted menus and detail-driven service, Western Addition has built a portfolio of some of Texas’ most in-demand destinations in Dallas and Houston. The Scottsdale opening marks the group’s first out-of-state expansion and a pivotal step in its national growth.

“Opening il Bracco in Scottsdale is an opportunity to share our signature blend of great food, thoughtful design and genuine hospitality with a whole new community,” said Robert Quick, founder, CEO and chief culinary officer of Western Addition. “Scottsdale’s lively dining scene and appreciation for craft made it the ideal place for our first expansion beyond Texas. We look forward to welcoming guests into what we hope feels like their new favorite table.”

Serving lunch and dinner daily, il Bracco’s elevated yet approachable menu centers on made-from-scratch Italian-inspired cooking with an emphasis on quality ingredients and precise technique. Guests can expect house-made pastas, breads and desserts alongside fresh seafood and prime meats butchered in-house daily. Signature dishes include the irresistible Crispy Artichokes, consisting of fresh baby artichokes, peeled by hand every day and served with olive aioli; the fan-favorite Spicy Gemelli featuring fresh house-made noodles in a vibrant vodka sauce; The Plaza salad with roasted chicken, golden beets, pancetta, marcona almonds, goat cheese and a honey vinaigrette made with local Crockett honey; The Combo sandwich layered with thinly sliced Italian charcuterie, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion, cherry pepper spread, oil and vinegar; pan roasted Mediterranean Sea Bass with mint gremolata and broccolini; a USDA Prime NY Strip Steak, broiled medium rare and served with a salsa verde, roasted carrots and whipped ricotta; and the Italian Sundae for dessert, topped with chopped pistachios, whipped cream and a generous drizzle of Queen Creek Olive Mill olive oil.

The beverage program highlights a thoughtfully curated wine list that balances iconic, world-class labels with exceptional discoveries beloved by wine insiders, offering rare by-the glass pours of Italy’s “great three” — Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello di Montalcino — each vintage selected with care, intention and a belief that remarkable wines should be enjoyed, not held out of reach. The same care extends through the rest of the bar menu with a selection of local and imported beers and craft cocktails, including the signature Bracco — a frozen Aperol and fresh grapefruit riff on a Greyhound that has become a hallmark of the brand. Known for exceptional martinis, il Bracco’s Martini Exchange refreshes every martini tableside into a chilled glass throughout the duration of the cocktail, preserving the ideal temperature. The Espresso Martini crafted with imported Italian coffee liqueur and a freshly brewed shot of Cartel Roasting Co. espresso, is a house favorite.

Designed to seat 165 guests, including a 10-table patio anchored by a stone fireplace, the 5,000-square-foot restaurant draws from modernist design principles that blend clean lines, honest materials and a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The interiors feature a warm, vacation-inspired palette of leather, wood, travertine, terrazzo, polished chrome, brick and cork, grounding the restaurant in tasteful, timeless luxury. Leather booths with contrast piping nod to classic Italian tailoring and mid-century Mediterranean yacht culture, while wood-paneled walls inspired by Italian architecture of the same period add texture and subtle whimsy. A patterned terrazzo floor connects the entry, bar and patio, recalling the elegance of a Milanese entryway, complemented by 1970s-inspired cola-colored ceramic tiles and checkerboard marble and travertine floors throughout. Designed by Western Addition’s VP of Architecture Kelly Wallace and VP of Design Mary Lucille Quick, along with MMaison Interiors and Brick & West Design, the restaurant is stylish, welcoming and just a little indulgent.

“At il Bracco, every visit is about the details that make a meal memorable,” said Matt Gottlieb, chief operating officer of Western Addition. “In Scottsdale, we’ve created a space where the energy, the flavors and the design all come together, whether it’s a quick lunch with a colleague, a night out with friends or a special occasion worth lingering over. Everything that our Texas guests love — from the dishes crafted with consistency and care to the art-filled interiors — is here, ready for Scottsdale to experience.”

Art plays a central role in il Bracco’s atmosphere, continuing a tradition that has become a mainstay across Western Addition restaurants. The walls will feature more than $100,000 of original works and signed, numbered prints by artists including Derrick Velasquez, Matt Kleberg, David Byrne, Tal R, Vija Celmins, Tony Berlant and Gene Friley. The collection comes from the personal holdings of the Quick family and was curated specifically for the space by Mary Lucille. Each piece was selected to harmonize with the restaurant’s architecture and interior, creating a dining experience that engages both palate and eye.

Western Addition is actively hiring for approximately 100 Scottsdale employees for both front- and back-of-house positions. Located at 6160 N. Scottsdale Road, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations are now open, and guests can view the full menu or book a table at ilbraccorestaurant.com/scottsdale.
