Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market will launch its online marketplace where people can shop from a collection of creatively curated vintage, artisan-made, and handcrafted goods — all from the comfort of their own home! The online marketplace featuring over 75 of Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market’s vendors will launch Friday, May 8, 2020 (Mother’s Day weekend) on JunkintheTrunkVintageMarket.com and will be selling the one-of-a-kind items for which this popular attraction for vintage enthusiasts across the Southwest is known.

The Market, a semi-annual shopping experience that provides attendees with the opportunity to shop all things chippy, rusty, vintage and handmade, was set to take place April 24-26 in Scottsdale, but was canceled due to COVID-19. The cancellation affected the founders of the Market, but also the Market’s 150 vendors, leaving many without a large source of their income.

“Instead of saying ‘too bad, there isn’t anything that can be done,’ we’ve been working on a way to give  vendors a chance to still showcase their treasures and our attendees a way to still experience our creatively curated shopping,” said Coley Arnold, Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market co-founder and owner. “We are thrilled to be able to continue to support our vendor family and our loyal market shoppers by offering an online marketplace where you can shop and score the best vintage and handmade goods in the Southwest!”

The online marketplace will begin Friday, May 8 and will continue to be available in addition to the in-person Markets that take place bi-annually every April and September.

“When we first started the Market, we wanted to create a community where we could all come together to enjoy the fun, the activities, and the vintage.” said Lindsey Holt, Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market co-founder and owner.  “This is a way we can virtually come together and shop directly through the website. With our vendors out of work, this allows people to not only support local, but enjoy time shopping while being a part of the community we’ve created.”

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market began as a small backyard market in 2011 and has since welcomed well over 200,000 shoppers through its doors across Arizona and California. Through this creative outlet, founders Holt and Arnold has supported more than 1,500 small businesses. Reaching the local community has always been at the heart of the event. The market has long partnered with local Young Life chapters to send high school and junior high kids to camp, as well as other non-profits to bring forth the greater good.
